Hagerty Garage and Social is proud to offer this carefully restored 1971 BMW R75/5 for sale at our New York location.
The 1970-1973 BMW /5 series motorcycles are loved by enthusiasts today for their classic styling, manageable size, relative ease of maintenance and usability in modern traffic. The BMW R75/5 was at the top of the range for the 1970-1973 /5 series motorcycles, packing a 749cc four-stroke, air-cooled, opposed-twin boxer engine producing 50 hp and 43 lb-ft of torque. All /5 series bikes have 4 speed transmissions with single dry clutches and both electric and kick start. The R75/5 also has 32mm Bing carburetors instead of the 26mm units on the R50 and R60.
